Wilson Park located 3 minutes from our apartments is one of the most well-kept, as well as the most beautiful and interesting parks in Poznań. It is the oldest botanical garden. It was established in 1834 on the site of a former tree and shrub nursery according to the director of the Municipal Gardens - Herman Kube. It is situated between Głogowska, Berwińskiego and Matejki streets, close to the railway station. It covers an area of approximately 7 ha. The park is divided into two parts: geometric and landscape. In the geometric part there is a palm house, the biggest attraction of the park, as well as a concert shell. The landscape part consists of two artificial ponds fed by a stream flowing from the rock garden built there. These ponds are inhabited by waterfowl. In the Wilson Park there is also the Poznań Palm House - a unique Botanical Garden, full of various exotic plants.
