3 minutes from our apartments there is the Kasprowicz Park and in it one of the symbols of Poznań, the Arena Sports and Entertainment Hall. The shape of the hall (inverted saucer) resembles the Little Sports Palace built in Rome in 1958 (designed by Pier Luigi Nervi). The roof of the dome is covered with a golden colored aluminum sheet. The hall has 4,200 seats in the stands and about 3,000 additional seats on the dance floor. The Arena Hall is adapted to the organization of sports events, concerts, performances and film screenings. Under the stands there is a buffet, a cafe, changing rooms and dressing rooms, a sauna, a warm-up room and sanitary facilities. The hall is adapted to the needs of the disabled.
It hosts popular cultural and sports events: Independance, RMI Trance Xplosion, Revolution, Dancetination, or ATB in Concert, Armin Only. For several years, the Arena Hall has also hosted volleyball matches in the World League. In 2009, the hall was also visited by the best national basketball teams to play matches as part of the European Championship.
